2022 marsanneThe first ever release of a single varietal designate Marsanne was back in 2018. As a newly planted block in the Estate Vineyard, it took only 3 harvests for the Marsanne varietal to start to shine. Early tasting by our winemaking team quickly showcased how extraordinary the varietal could be as a standalone wine. As with all Clos LaChance Designate and Reserve wines, the single varietal Marsanne will only be released when the quality meets the high standards required; 2021 was one of those years. 2020 joli meritageThis traditional Bordeaux style blend is crafted with the finest grapes from the best blocks and uses the best French Oak barrels on the market. The Bordeaux region of France is well known for its cooler climate and often overcast and muggy summers. The Central Coast lends itself to a cooler climate and dreary foggy mornings. This gives the Bordeaux varietals a chance to develop much more intense and complex flavors that you won’t find in a hotter climate style of blend. Blend: 43% Malbec, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Petit Verdot |
2021 murphy's pinot noirThe Murphy’s Choice Pinot Noir is classic representation of what set Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir’s apart from the rest of the world. The wine is produced from various vineyards dotting the Santa Cruz Mountain Range. The shallow rocky soils stress the vines to create small bb size grapes with thick tannins and rich complexity. Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir’s are known for their earthy characteristics with hints of mushroom and prominent acidity, and this Pinot Noir is a perfect example of that. Blend: 100% Pinot Noir |
2020 whitestone cabernet sauvignonThe Whitestone block of our Estate Vineyard offers a completely different soil profile from the rest of the vineyard blocks. The shallow rocky soil gives us a much more complex berry with thicker skins and a smaller berry size. We stay true to the style that the terroir on our Estate gives us and create an approachable and elegant style of Cab that is crafted for your everyday indulgence. The wine is ready to drink now and can be laid down for several years as well. Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon |
2022 harman chardonnayThe Clos LaChance Harman Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from one of the most prestigious vineyards set in the iconic Santa Cruz Mountains. Known primarily for its Mountain style Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay production, the Santa Cruz Mountains is the ideal growing region for ultra-premium wine grapes. Blend: 100% Chardonnay |
2017 cabernet francOur philosophy at Clos is to ensure that only the finest varietals from each given vintage makes the cut for our Reserve tier wines. The 2017 Cabernet Franc was a true example of how only the best of the best make the final cut. The 2017 vintage was an exceptional year for most Bordeaux varietals and Cabernet Franc stood out among them as one of the finest wines we have ever produced. Blend: 100% Cabernet Franc |
