Very purple; with a bit of a watery rim. On the nose I get cola, cherry, earth and mushroom. This wine is so much more like a French Burgundy then a California Pinot Noir. The fruit flavors are secondary to a very complex richness. A bit of truffle, spice, vanilla and cola on the entry. Very subtle red cherries in the mid-palate. Finishes up with soft tannins, solid acidity and a very long, smooth end. The flavors last on the palate for at least several minutes. [More]
