Blend:
100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes:
2010 Murphy’s Chardonnay has a very pale straw color considering the oak aging. On the nose, I get creamy banana, pineapple with a hint of pear. Vanilla and butterscotch with a nice dose of fresh oak. Baking spice. On the palate, the bright acidity is the forefront of the mouthfeel. The fruit flavors carry through, especially the creamy banana. Citrusy—a little bit of lime. The Pineapple also very prevalent. Very refreshing and balanced. On the finish I get a hint of that spice from the nose as well as vanilla bean and cream.
Food Pairings:
Sushi, chicken curry and white fish
